Dungeon Manager operates under Wizards of the Coast's Fan Content Policy, which permits fan sites and tools to provide free, community-focused tools for tabletop roleplaying campaigns.
Compendium & Template Policy
Our public Compendium strictly serves open-licensed material from the System Reference Document (SRD 5.1 and SRD 5.2.1) under Creative Commons (CC-BY-4.0), alongside user-created community homebrew. Pre-built campaign and character templates use original, setting-agnostic archetypes and open SRD mechanics.
Free Access Commitment
The Fan Content Policy requires that Fan Content be freely accessible — without payment, subscription, or required registration. Dungeon Manager is 100% free to use. Compendium entries, templates, and campaign tools are not and will not be placed behind a paywall.
Voluntary Donations & Hosting Support
Dungeon Manager is provided 100% free of charge. Voluntary tips and donations via our Support page go strictly toward subsidizing server, database, and live WebSocket infrastructure hosting costs as permitted under Section 1 of the Wizards of the Coast Fan Content Policy. Donations are completely optional, do not unlock playable content or software features, and are not payments for official or third-party D&D material.
